Officers from Habersham Central, Habersham Ninth Grade Academy, South Habersham Middle, North Habersham Middle, and Wilbanks Middle FFA chapters in Habersham County attended the annual Chapter Officer Leadership Training Conference hosted by the agricultural teachers. Officers traveled to the Nantahala Outdoor Center in Bryson City, NC. Each of the chapters worked diligently on creating their own unique Program of Activities, which is the chapter’s plan of activities for the year; set goals for each chapter; and developed the leadership skills of each officer. During free time, the officers were able to bond together while fishing and tubing. The FFA officers planned numerous activities for the entire school year and were excited to kick the year off. As a county some of the goals include: each chapter having 100% membership, increase the amount of participation in Career Development Events, and increase the amount of participation in conferences and summer camp. Officers that attended were; from Habersham Central- Noah Martin, James Bingham, Jordan Brown, Alexa Schwartz, Derek Moss, Bailey Rayner, Chase Wright, Josh Brown, Andrew Hayes, Colby Chapman, and Alex Anderson; from Habersham Ninth Grade Academy- Corey Powers, Will Barrett, Emily Brewster, and Katie English; and from Wilbanks Middle- Cade Dyer, Cody Loudermilk, Avery Garrett, and Eveson LaCount.
